Fall-Winter 1997 menswear is one of the most important collections of Jean Paul Gaultier. Using his loud voice in a fashion industry, Gaultier expressed his political statements in his clothing quite often, but this show was the most direct and obvious one. With the help of styling, silhouettes, hair and make-up, and most importantly, prints and patterns, Gaultier managed to explore principal goals of a modern society, such as world peace and fight against racism. This graffiti on a brick wall print was shown on the runway of Fall 1997 menswear show. A mini skirt featuring this iconic print is made of a soft velvet material, is fastened with a zipper on the side and has a matching strap on the back.
