Sophisticated but very casual, full of warm and dark colors, Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2001 collection was embracing bricollage. These deconstructed runway looks were meant to be reassembled just like puzzle (that was also used as the invitation to the show). "The idea was to make clothes that can be made as you want. You can take them apart and put them back together in different ways. It's about freedom!" - the designer stated after the show.
Fur was an important part of the show as it could be used in different ways as well as a cropped jacket or even as detachable sleeves. This Fall 2001 black fur vest is reversible and has a beautiful lining with a floral pattern that creates a whole new look.
