The first show of the Fall 2002 season that declared a Tyrolean-Bavarian theme was the D&G show in Milan. In the scenery of the spring forest, two full-size plastic cows with a milking stool and a bucket, and milk chocolate bars for everyone in the press attending, the inspiration behind the collection was very clear. The models appeared on the runway in tight-fitting black lace-up bodices, puffy skirts embroidered with white-red-green floral ornaments, voluminous knitted pieces, loose cargo pants and light chiffon blouses.
One of best pieces of this collection, a corset with a corduroy body with black lace inserts and lace sleeves, featuring sculpting corset elements at the back and lacing at the front. The corset has the most beautiful floral embroidery going in two lines along the body giving a very rustic, wooded and without any doubt alpine mood.
