Christian Dior by John Galliano Fall 2003 Paisley Silk Top

We all know and admire John Galliano’s talent of mixing different genres and inspirations. This amazing skill of the designer helped create new and now iconic prints, and some of them were even given their own names. One of the prominent shows that birthed many of the greatest prints was Christian Dior Fall 2003 couture collection. Entitled «Creating a New Dance» this collection drew inspiration from different forms and styles of dance culture, thus drawing inspiration from different traditional motifs. The paisley floral print was featured on the runway and was applied on many other more wearable Dior pieces for the season, later becoming the go-to print of the brand admirers.

One of these pieces, a paisley silk top is constructed of different fragments of fabric connected by thin lace line. This gorgeous top has thin elegant straps, a row of small silk buttons on one side and a zipper on the other.
