One of the most outstanding and memorable collections of Jean Paul Gaultier, Spring-Summer 1994 demonstrated his life-long respect for ethnic approaches to design and decorations. Faux piercings and body accessories made of metal bead chains with charms took over the runway and were later used in some of his collections. This dress, reissued in the early 2000s in the menswear line is decorated with a similar bead chain that helps adjust the length, and metal charms that can be unfastened. A perfect fit and stretchy material creates this flattering silhouette that Gaultier’s designs are famous for.
